Brown Sugar

Can a man and woman truly be friends? Shugg and Cedric would both agree, although deep down there’s more between them than what they’re both willing to admit. Their attraction toward each other extends well beyond the point of friendship. As life takes them on different paths, they soon realize that even the strongest bonds can break under pressure.

With Cedric’s help, Shugg made her dream a reality. She opened her own boutique and worked hard to build her brand. Unfortunately for her, she put all her time and effort into her business, leaving little room for anything else. Keeping her true feelings hidden from Cedric, she provided the perfect opportunity for Tranique to step in. Shugg watched from afar as Tranique slithered her way into Cedric’s heart and his bed.

Now that Tranique is officially Mrs. Cedric Bonner, she’s determined to be the only woman in Cedric’s life. She has no problem lying and scheming to get what she considers rightfully hers. Not even karma is going to stand in her way. Shugg has something she wants, and Tranique will stop at nothing to get it.

Cedric is torn between the friend he loves, and the woman he married. Trying hard to find a steady balance between the two leaves his life in disarray. Eventually, he must choose between his heart and his conscience. With so much at stake, loyalty means nothing. Someone’s going to get hurt, and life as he knows it will never be the same again.

Davina has it all. She’s strong, independent, and living life to the fullest. Too bad her successful career as a lawyer doesn’t keep her warm at night. She’s convinced she doesn’t need a man. That is, until her world is turned upside down by a chance encounter with Genesis; a smart-mouthed rude boy seeking justice of his own. Davina soon learns that looks can be deceiving. There’s more to Genesis that meets the eye. Once he enters her life, it’s almost impossible to get him out.
No one is safe in this twisted web of love, lies, and deceit. See how it all unfolds…
